Apple has just sent out invitations for a media event scheduled for next week Wednesday, September 12. The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern. The tagline on the invitation is simply “It’s almost here.”

Retina Macbook Pro 2012 Leaked Specs

Hey there! Much excited for the WWDC 2012 today, in an hour! Lol. I believe that Apple will be releasing its new 'Retina' Macbook Pro's this week, and I just came across these specifications.
According to 9to5mac, Retina MacBook Pros will come with a 15-inch display and that Apple will release spec-bumped 13 inch and 15 inch MacBook Pros with the current design. They now have details on the spec-bumped 13 inch and 15 inch MacBook Pros:

• 13.3 inch: 2.5GHz dual core processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive
• 13.3 inch: 2.9GHz dual core processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive
• 15.4 inch: 2.3GHz quad core processor, 4GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive
• 15.4 inch: 2.6GHz quad core processor, 8GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive (BTO upgrades to 2.7GHz quad core and 1TB HD will be available)

They are yet to receive details on the Retina Display MacBook Pro and the new MacBook Airs, but we believe that those notebooks are still coming at WWDC. Also in the mix is an updated AirPort Express and USB SuperDrive. The current USB SuperDrive from Apple is marketed as a MacBook Air SuperDrive, so this new model likely is re-branded to support the next-generation (optical-drive-less) MacBook Pro. We also understand that Apple might refresh their MagSafe connector/adapter and sell new adapters and converters between new and old MagSafes. A new Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter will also be made available.

Hey guys! I just heard from 9to5mac about the 2012 Macbook air specs. So the specs are like this-

The 11 inch models-

• Base Model: MD223LL/A – MBA 11.6/1.7/4/64FLASH-USA
• Better: MD224LL/A – MBA 11.6/1.7/4/128FLASH-USA
• High End: MD845LL/A – MBA 11.6/2.0/8/256FLASH-USA

And the 13 inch models- 

• MD231LL/A – MBAIR 13.3/1.8/4/128FLASH-USA
• MD232LL/A – MBAIR 13.3/1.8/4/256FLASH-USA
• MD846LL/A – MBAIR 13.3/2.0/8/512FLASH-USA

"The bolded numbers are the RAM and would be a significant (and welcome) increase over the previous models.We’ve also bolded the 512GB SSD on the high end Air. As we’ve said previously, these will be SATA 3 Solid State drives and at least some will be based on Samsung’s 830 series - which are super fast." - 9to5mac
